Want to become an Earth Council Embassy Ambassador?

Would you like to assist this framework for peace by becoming an Earth Council Embassy Ambassador?
Earth Council Embassy action plan to 2012-2013:
In February 2010, Earth Council Embassy is little more than a small international
team [refer bios section on website] who have devised this framework
for peace.
By the end of 2012, we hope to have birthed many Earth Council Embassies, in
different countries around the world, all united in this vision for
change, all calling for the worlds` first vote in 2012.
Change the UN to the EC? Yes/ No
We
call for the world’s general pubic to petition their National
Leaders to support this vote for the transition we all need. When the
world’s National Leaders put this world vote to their
populations, we will be looking for a majority vote, in favor of the
change in every country, to validate the change of the UN into the EC
[Earth Council], based on the Sovereignty of the Individual and
Community Democracy [refer Earth Council Triangle].
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” –Helen Keller
So we
need people to organize Earth Council Embassy in their country. We
need communicators informing the worlds` general public that there is
a Framework for Peace. Please join this small team in growing
something big. Contact us through the enquiry form on website www.ec2012.org
“From little things big things grow”
The
December 1997 Climate Summit in Kyoto, Japan generated a call to
action from a prominent list of signatories representing the greatest
body of scientific minds ever assembled. Sixteen hundred scientists,
including the majority of living Nobel Prize winners in the sciences,
unanimously agreed on the following public “Warning to
humanity”:
“A
great change in the stewardship of the Earth and the life on it is
required if vast human misery is to be avoided and our global home on
this planet is not to be irretrievably mutilated… If not
checked, many of our current practices may so put at serious risk the
future that we wish for human society and the plant and animal
kingdoms, and may so alter the living world, that it will be unable
to sustain life in the manner that we know. Fundamental changes are
urgent if we are to avoid the collision our present course will bring
about.”
“The
human species has reached a defining moment of choice between moving
ahead on a path to collective self-destruction or joining together in
a cooperative effort to navigate a dramatic turn to a new human era.
The profound cultural and institutional transformation that is needed
goes up against the short-term interests of the world’s most
powerful people and institutions. The barriers to what we humans must
now achieve are daunting. By any rational calculation, the needed
transformation is not politically feasible. Yet it is essential to
human survival and prosperity, which means we must set ourselves to
the task of figuring out how to make the impossible into the
inevitable.” -David Korten.
The framework for peace adheres to three life-affirming principles:
- I am a human being.
- I want to be happy and I don’t want to suffer.
- Other human beings, like me also want to be happy and do not want to suffer.
“The truth is that we never conquered the world, never understood it, we
only think we have control. We do not even know why we respond a
certain way to other organisms, and [we] need them in diverse ways,
so deeply.”
– E.O.Wilson, Entomologist and Evolutionary Biologist.
